“Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it.” — Mariam Wright Edelman

This is the goal of the Amanda Roberts Foundation.  It was established in 1998 by Marvin and Karma Roberts to honor the educational goals of their daughter Amanda Roberts.  As a senior in high school, Amanda was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, unfortunately, her goal of an education and future career of a physician was brought to an end.  Her death reminded us that the cost of an education was stumbling block for many young people.  Therefore, we established this foundation to assist others on their educational path.

Annually, we award grants to young people that have a desire to continue their education.  To date we have supported more than 75 young people’s educational aspirations.  Our goal is to reach more young people and extend their possibilities through education.  Making a donation, you will facilitate the educational goals of our young people.

We appreciate any donation you are able to offer.  All checks should be made payable to Amanda Roberts Foundation and mailed to:

Amanda Roberts Foundation,

308 North Kenwood Blvd,

Indianola, IA 50125

Donations are tax-deductible.

With much appreciation.
